About the event
The Museums Australia National Conference has established itself as the must attend event for the museums, collections and cultural heritage sector. A prestigious forum for stimulating debate, the conference is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to, and build strong relationships with, the Australian museum community and, through them, the people who use Australia’s Museums.
We look forward to welcoming past Sponsors and Exhibitors whilst also inviting new organisations to be a part of this important conference in 2010. The Conference will attract delegates involved in collecting organisations and institutions of all sizes across the museums sector including; Directors, Managers and Curators, Board Members and Management Committees, Funding Bodies, Researchers and other key staff from museums, art galleries, libraries, archives and universities.

The Museums sector encompasses more than 1,800 locations and employs more than 80,000 people with an additional 200,000 participating on a voluntary basis. It attracts annual government funding of about $1.5B and $200M from the corporate sector (2007/08) and boasts an annual audience of 31 million visitors.
