Welcome from the Chair
Museums Australia (Victoria) is delighted to invite you to Melbourne for the fourteenth annual Museums Australia National Conference in 2010.
This year the Conference is held in spring, one of the best times of year to explore Melbourne, one of the world’s ‘Most Liveable Cities’. The Conference will take place from 28 September to 2 October 2010, with the theme: Interesting Times: New roles for collections.
We’re proud to present an exciting, vibrant and diverse program representing museum people from all corners of Australia and beyond. The call for abstracts is open now – why not nominate yourself or a colleague to present part of the program?
The conference will be of interest to everyone involved in collecting organisations and institutions of all sizes across the museums sector including staff, boards and management committees, funding bodies, researchers, students and volunteers from museums, art galleries, libraries, archives and universities.
We hope that you will save the date in your diaries, ready for early-bird registrations from 1 February 2010. To register your interest now, and to stay in touch with the very latest updates, click here.
On behalf of the Conference Organising Committee, we look forward to seeing you in Melbourne in September 2010.2010 Chairs
